Enjoy summer kayaking from Skårungen
This is the experience recommended if you are new to kayaking and want a calm trip in tranquil environments.
Our guide shows the way and let you explore idyllic surroundings of shallow, sandy bottoms in the beautiful Ørsnes bay outside Kabelvåg (Skårungen). Here you can spot starfish, urchins, fish and shells of different kinds.
The Ørsnes bay is very suitable for a first meeting with kayaking, and is especially fitted for youngsters with the conditions being significantly calmer on this location. Easy entrance and exit in and out of the kayak from the beach.
The trip will be of low speed and there will be made several stops throughout the whole experience. First of all this trip is all about getting familiar with kayaking and to have fun!
Skårungen
Skårungen is a vibrant coastal gem in Kabelvåg, offering spectacular views of mountains and fjords. Here you'll find traditional fisherman's cabins (rorbuer), hotel rooms, a restaurant serving local dishes, a café with mother-in-law’s homemade cinnamon buns, and Lofoten’s most popular spa – all set in beautiful natural surroundings.

No previous experiences necessary, but all participants need to be steady swimmers and minimum 10 years of age. 1 child and 1 adult per kayak.
What should you bring and wear?
Bring a bottle of water and wear comfortable clothes. Bring extra clothing as you can get wet kayaking. In case of rain, bring a rain coat.
