Whether you want to experience the never-setting midnight sun, ride beneath the dancing northern lights in the winter sky, or feel the fresh sea breeze in the spring – we have the perfect tour for you. We are located on the "wild outer side" of Lofoten, nestled between the majestic Hoven mountain and the sea.
With us, you get an intimate and authentic experience with safe Icelandic horses, tailored to your skill level.
An Experience for Everyone
You don't need to be an expert to ride with us. We match both the horse and the tour to your skills and preferences.
For beginners: Safe tours and an introduction to horseback riding.
For experienced riders: Opportunities for more challenging rides (age limit of 14 years for advanced tours).
For the little ones: Led rides for children under 5, as well as family tours.
What Can You Expect?
We offer everything from short introductory rides to multi-day tours with accommodation. We make sure you stay warm and safe:
Equipment included: We provide helmets, riding gloves, thermal suits, rain gear, and boots. (We still recommend dressing for the weather).
Safe horses: Our Icelandic horses are strong, steady, and used to the terrain.
Spectacular nature: Sandy beaches, mountains, and the open ocean.
Who Can Ride With Us?
We select a horse based on your weight, height, and experience. For the horse's welfare and your safety, it is crucial that you provide accurate information when booking.
Weight limit: 95 kg (Applies to all tours). For longer tours, the limit may vary depending on riding skills.
Age limit: 8 years old to ride alone.
For children: Children under 5 are offered a led ride. Children between 5-8 years old (or insecure riders) can book a dedicated guide to lead the horse (+750 NOK).
Safety and Terms
Pregnant women: Unfortunately, pregnant women cannot participate in our riding tours.
Intoxicants: Persons under the influence of alcohol or other substances cannot participate or interact with the animals.
Backpacks/Bags: Cannot be taken on horseback. We have lockers in the stable for your valuables.
Weather conditions: We put safety first. In case of dangerous weather, we will reschedule the tour for a later time.
Cancellation
48 hours before: No refund (100% charged).
Groups over 9 people: 50% charged for cancellations made between 7 days and 48 hours before the start.
